The Origin Story

DiamondBoxx was founded in 2014 by Tony D'Amore and Juan Rodriguez with a single, uncompromising mission: build audio equipment that delivers studio-quality sound anywhere — without sacrificing power, durability, or craftsmanship, while not needing to be plugged into an electrical outlet.

What started as a passion project in Southern California quickly became a movement. Tony and his team saw a market flooded with mass-produced, disposable speakers that looked the part but couldn't deliver. They set out to change that — one hand-built enclosure at a time.

Inventors of the Bluetooth Boombox

Before DiamondBoxx, truly powerful wireless portable audio didn't exist. Bluetooth speakers were small, tinny, and built for convenience (RIP iPod docks) — not performance. Tony D'Amore and the D'Amore Engineering team changed that equation forever.

DiamondBoxx invented the Bluetooth Boombox — a category-defining product that combined the raw output of a professional loudspeaker with the freedom of wireless connectivity. No compromises. No excuses. Just thunderous, room-filling sound you could take anywhere.

That invention didn't just fill a gap in the market — it created an entirely new standard for what portable audio could be.

Handcrafted in Camarillo, California

Every DiamondBoxx product is designed, engineered, and assembled by hand in our Camarillo, California facility. We don't outsource our craftsmanship — because craftsmanship can't be outsourced.

Building in California means tighter quality control, faster iteration, and a direct line between our engineers and the finished product. When you hold a DMNDBXX speaker, you're holding something that was touched, tested, and tuned by the same team that designed it.

Tony D'Amore and Juan Rodriguez are the founders and lead engineers behind DMNDBXX. They both have a long history in audio engineering and product design, they built D'Amore Engineering into a brand that audiophiles, professionals, and enthusiasts trust. Their hands-on approach to every product — from initial concept to final QC — is what separates DMNDBXX from the competition.

The D'Amore Engineering team is a tight-knit group of audio engineers, fabricators, and technicians who share Tony's obsession with performance. Every person on the team has a direct role in what ships out the door.

Our Brand Name

We started as DiamondBoxx in 2014, and it is still the name of the series of speakers that we started with, the Bluetooth Boombox style.  DMNDBXX is now the name of our company and made room for other series or types of audio equipment.  Thus the introduction of our DMNDBXX PRO speakers in 2025.  These are built to deliver maximum sound pressure, loud enough for any party indoors or out.
